PRIVACY

Your code stays yours.

Last updated 13 October 2026. Synapse is in private beta; this page will grow with the product, and we'll say here when it changes.

What we collect

Account details — your email, name, and avatar (from GitHub if you sign in with it), plus a hashed password if you set one. We never store passwords in plain text.

Waitlist details — the email and optional details you submit in the early-access form, used only to contact you about Synapse.

Repository data — for repositories you connect, the read-only GitHub App reads metadata and file contents so Synapse can map and answer questions about them.

What we never do

We never train models on your code, never send it through free-tier AI services, and never sell or share it. The GitHub App cannot push, merge, or change settings.

Cookies

Synapse uses two httpOnly cookies to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Isolation and deletion

Every workspace is isolated: members of one workspace can't see another's data. Removing a repository deletes its data from Synapse; deleting a workspace deletes everything in it. You can uninstall the GitHub App at any time from your GitHub settings.
