TERMS
Terms of Service
Last updated 31 October 2026. These terms apply to Synapse (asksynapse.in): the website, the app, the GitHub App, the PR bot and the Synapse MCP server. By creating an account or using Synapse you agree to them. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle data.
Who we are
Synapse is operated by Aadesh Jain, Bengaluru, India ("we", "us"). Contact: support@asksynapse.in.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms, for yourself or for the organisation you use Synapse for.
- Keep your sign-in and access tokens safe; you're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at once if you think it's been compromised.
- Workspace owners decide who joins their workspace and which repositories and AI tools are connected.
Your code and content
You own your code and everything you bring to Synapse. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to read, process and store it so Synapse can scan it, answer your questions and AI-tool requests, and post the PR comments you've turned on. We never train AI models on your code. You confirm you have the right to connect the repositories you connect.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- break the law or anyone's rights, including by connecting code you're not allowed to share with us;
- try to access other workspaces, bypass limits, or probe or attack the service (report security issues to support@asksynapse.in instead);
- overload the service, scrape it, or resell it without our written permission;
- use Synapse to build malware or to harm others.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and we'll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
Plans, trials and payment
- Synapse offers a free plan and paid plans; current plans, prices and limits are shown in the app and on our website.
- Trials and design-partner access are free for the period stated; when they end, the workspace moves to the free plan unless you choose a paid plan.
- Paid plans are paid in advance through our payment provider. Each payment covers 30 days; there are no automatic charges. To keep a plan, pay again before it ends, and payments made early add to the time you have left. If you don't renew, the workspace moves to the free plan and keeps its data.
- Moving to a higher plan applies at once, and the days left on your old plan are added to the new one at the two plans' prices. Moving to a lower plan applies when the current paid period ends, so you keep what you paid for.
- Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, or where we decide to refund in a particular case. Prices are in Indian rupees and are the full amount you pay; no tax is added at checkout.
- We'll give at least 30 days' notice before a price change affects your plan.
AI tools and third-party services
Synapse works with tools we don't control, such as GitHub, Claude, Claude Code and Cursor. Their own terms apply to your use of them. Results Synapse sends to an AI tool are sent at your request; how that tool uses them is governed by its terms.
Service and changes
Synapse is under active development. We may add, change or remove features, and we'll give reasonable notice before removing something you rely on in a paid plan. We aim for high availability but don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
No warranty
Synapse helps you understand and change code, but its answers, maps and PR comments can be incomplete or wrong. Review changes before you ship them. To the extent the law allows, Synapse is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or ₹5,000 if you haven't paid us). Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Ending your use
You can stop using Synapse and delete your workspace at any time. We may end or suspend access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms. When an account or workspace is deleted, we delete its data as described in the Privacy policy.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction, but we'll always try to resolve a problem with you directly first: write to support@asksynapse.in.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, email account owners at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Synapse after that means you accept the new terms.
